Join instructor and world-renowned basket weaver Marilyn McDanel in one of her classes offered throughout the year. These workshops on weaving a coiled basket from pine needles is suitable for those with zero experience in basket weaving. You will be guided, step-by-step, through the process of making coils, attaching them using sinew, transitioning from level to level and the process of finishing the weaving.

Many of Marilyn's baskets are in private collections worldwide, with many others on display in the Smithsonian in Washington, DC

The classes are usualy held on weekends, they begin at 10am and end around 4pm. You will receive all the materials needed to make the basket, handouts, instructional materials, guidance throughout the day and lunch. The costs if $85 per person. All you need do is bring a smile and plan to enjoy the day and meet and make new friends.
